Fall Reunion 2020 Update

Brothers,

We recently surveyed both active members and candidate families about their anticipated attendance at Fall Reunion given the current COVID-19 situation. Of those who responded to the survey (153 unique respondents), approximately 53% indicated they would attend, and the rest were split between not coming, or were still unsure. More important than simple percentages are the number of candidates for induction, and the number of key individuals who are needed for key roles (ceremonial, food service, elangomats, etc.) The youth and adults on the Lodge leadership team have worked hard to make it possible to have this event for you, and we appreciate your support and encouragement through the process.

Although we will have a significant number of both candidates and members elect to wait until the next reunion, the Lodge Key 3 has decided to proceed with opening registration for Fall Reunion with optimism that we will still have both enough manpower and candidate participation to conduct a successful induction weekend. Registration will be closed, with no exceptions, on Friday, August 28th, at 5PM. Once registration closes, we will review the final registration list and make a final determination on whether or not to hold the event. In addition to registering for the event, YOUR 2020 LODGE DUES MUST BE PAID TO ATTEND. If you have not paid your 2020 dues, you may pay them at https://scoutingevent.com/312-AW2020Dues

At this time, we are unsure whether we will conduct a Brotherhood ceremony, so we are not providing a pre-registration option for that. If the Lodge decides it can hold a successful Brotherhood ceremony, those who are interested can pay the additional $15 fee when checking in. Now the important stuff. Below are some very important items everyone needs to be aware of prior to registering for the event. We have been approved to hold this event under very specific guidelines and restrictions, and they must be adhered to. If you cannot, or will not, cheerfully adhere to these guidelines, we ask that you wait until the next reunion to participate. Our goal is a safe, positive, and productive event for all. Following is a brief summary of the guidelines:

Masks will be worn at all times by all participants, and social distancing will be enforced.

Temperatures will be taken prior to all participants exiting their vehicle when they arrive at camp. Any participant whose temperature exceeds 100.4 F will not be allowed to check in and will be required to return home.

Current Council guidelines prohibit transportation of Scouts by anyone other than their immediate families. Units and non-domiciled families should not travel together. Scouts must be transported to and from Fall reunion by an immediate family member.

Tents must be single occupancy, except for members of the same domiciled family.

Buildings will only be available for use by participants with health concerns that require indoor lodging, and will be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Buildings will be single-occupancy. Individuals with pre-existing conditions, or in high-risk groups, that may make them more susceptible to the effects of COVID-19, are asked not to attend.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 28th AT 5:00PM. NO LATE REGISTRATIONS OR WALK-IN REGISTRATIONS WILL BE PERMITTED.

No unregistered "day" or "evening" visitors will be allowed. If you plan to attend any part of the event, even just ceremonies, you must register in advance and your temperature will be checked prior to checking in.
